St Peter's, Carlton is the smallest church in our Benefice - it is 13th Century with no special features but is a really beautiful small Church. Our Church is the only public building in Carlton and so any gathering, secular or religious, is held in the Church - this includes our Parish Council meetings. We can seat approximately 100 people.
We have just started a regular said (no music) communion service which will be held on the first Thursday of each month at 10.00 am and we would love you to join us.
We regularly hold sung evensongs in the church. Additionally, twice a year we hold a full Choral Evensong with a choir made up of local people. This is quite an event and brings together people from all our villages. We also have very well attended Remembrance and Christmas services so please look out for details.
Coming up at Carlton:

Carlton Church collection from Choral Evensong service in September was donated to the Community Heartbeat Trust to aid our village campaign to acquire a defibrillator in the redundant phone box. After gift aid of an additional 25% is taken into consideration, the total raised in the church collection was £262.50.
We are delighted that the amount of money mentioned above, together with further donations from more of you has now taken us up to our total required to initiate the installation. To date, the total donated is £1973.94.
If you still haven't donated to this appeal, there is still time to do so. Any further amount of money donated will assist with the ongoing running costs of the machine and its servicing. Please email one of the Church Wardens via the link below to support.
